After moving to the Bronx in 2013, Stephen Chachere turned his camera lens to his neighborhood. His wife Carol was driving The Grand Concourse to and from work each day and remarked to him what a truly grand and quirky thoroughfare it was. Even though, as told his cousin David, “It’s been done,” Stephen was fascinated by the area. He made repeated trips to shoot the streets, the buildings, and (especially) the people. Many of the images you see here are from the summer of 2014.
